I recently put together a system with a A7NX8 Deluxe and a XP 2500 Barton in it. At first, it detedted it properly, as a 2500+, but sense I put WinXP Pro in, it only sees it as a XP 1.1GHz.

I didn't fool with the BIOS at all. Whats it doing and how do I fix it?

when it sees it as 1.1, is that in windows xp itself?... If its seeing it as 1.1 when booting up, you will have to go into the bios and change your fsb speed from 100 to 166 as per page 55 in your manual. Go to Advance Chipset Features -> CPU Extrenal Frequecy and select 166

You have to change the FSB frequency as Dahak explained. The BIOS has an overclocking protection feature that automatically sets the FSB back down to 100 MHz if the board fails to post properly. It is supposed to keep you from having to clear your CMOS when you do too high an OC. It saves you a lot of time if you overclock often. The problem is that it kicks in ANY time the POST fails, which used to happen to me a lot because the old 1002 and 1003 BIOSes didn't like my RAM at all (the 1004 BIOS seems to have fixed all the memory issues I had). Heck, I've even cause it to kick in when I accidentally hit my reset button during boot up.
