does this motherboard have pci/agp lock? and im looking to overclock my 2600+, is this the right board for the job?? (and im going to get some ddr400 to go along with it)

The A7N8X allows you to set the AGP bus to a particular frequency - independant of the FSB and PCI. The PCI bus frequency is locked at 33MHz, so you don't have to manually lock it. For overclocking, I would go with Abit or Epox (NF7-S or 8RDA+). Have ya bought the 2600+ yet? Which country are ya located?

The 2400+ would be the better overclocking buy. The best would be a XP 2100+ "high-end" TBred-B. I know where you can get it in the USA. But, don't know where to get it in Canada.

see, the price dont matter. i can get anything up to a 2600+ free. so overall, u think a 2.4 would overclock better than a 2600+?

If you can get a 2600+ free, then get the 2600+ for sure as long as it's the 333MHz DDR FSB version.

oh yeah and, how far do u think teh 2600+ can go? and which mobo u think is best?

PS u can add me to msn @ lorne_z123@hotmail.com or aol @ d1in3 (since we are practically talking straight to each other right now lol)
