First of all this board is better than the old nforce chipset. I found something wrong with this board, very minor, yet somewhat annoying.
I was downloading huge files from AOL. And playing music/dvd at the same time. You will hear noises coming from the speaker that is not related to the music or movie. You can also not play anything and just listen while it is downloading. I tried all the old nforce tricks already but none seem to work. The noise oNLY comes out when downloading.
Does anyone have this problem?

My spec:
XP 1400
A7N8X Deluxe Bios 1001.G
512DDR

I've heard people say that the interference is a common problem with integrated sound, no matter what the solution. I will say that the nForce sound IS good, but I am using the Audigy2 all the same. I am happier with it overall.

I see you are running the 1001.G BIOS. I too am running that BIOS, and I've found it to work pretty well. The only thing I am not really excited about is the fact I can't get it to properly recognize my unlocked 2400. If I remove the last L3 bridge, it is fine, but if not it can't seem to cope.

I haven't experienced the problem you're speaking of on the 8RDA+, so it may be an A7N8X-specific issue.

Do you have the latest official BIOS release? Are you using the 2917 nVidia Media (Audio) Driver (found at WindowsUpdate.com)?

Peace

I think 1003 is a future release. I am surely looking forward to it as the 2600+ I've got may just turn into a 2800+ or more.
