That's a really good WU time with no hard mods to the board. Nothing to be ashamed of for sure! 😉
WTG on the killer OC too!

Thanks. I am pleased. Just to play around a little I am now at 225x10 with 2-3-3-8 timings, just out of curiousity. I will try to tighten the ram timings a bit later. Wierd thing is that aida32 will not benchmark my ram on the read part. It does the write ok, but freaks out on the read now.

Wow nice times.. reminiscent of my secondary computer which is my fastest SETI cruncher to date 😉

btw, I've had aida32 act weird on me before also.. does hitting the refresh button while you're on the read benchmark do the trick? Seems to work for me.. 🙂

Hey thanks adelacru! I never thought of that, just did and after 2 tries, it worked. By the way I figured what the heck and moved my timings to 2-2-2-7, will see how this holds up. My last WU is
2003 Apr 30 09:52pm 14.421,13.43 0.427 WOOD-BDRM 2h11m

And my average is now 2h14m guess I can't really complain about that! Will run the ars benchy wu this weekend if I get some time.

so after all your tweaking... did you conclude that if you run the same clock speed but higher fsb, you get better WU times?

Yes But not by as huge a margin as I thought. I think one of the biggest factors is the ram timings. I can run my FSB higher, but I have to relax the timigs so much, that there becomes NO wu time difference. Plus I had a couple programs not like to run at 220+. So I am at 215x10.5 2257 with ram at 2-2-2-6 and things seem to be happy. So I am still at around 2:15 with the beafy WU's and under 2hrs for the light. My overall average is 2:10 so I can't really complain. I am assuming that if I wanted to go higher I would need a much better PSU and probably the voltage mod. So if I do those, I would probably get higher, and if I watercooled I could probably get more out of this chip, but I need to stop for a while. I am working on a case mod that will should help my temps out a bit.
