My MB is failing and I need to replace it, at this time I just will/want to replace the MB I will in a couple of months buy all new stuff but not yet....

Any recommendations ?

I am looking to buy something fairly cheap to replace this just to get me a few months of use...

Thanks in advance.

I've used KM400 based mobo's quite often for budget builds. They have onboard video, and an AGP slot. Not going to be oc'ing w/ it, but they run rock solid and are freaking cheap. :) And you can keep your AGP video card for the next build and just sell the machine w/ the onboard vid only.

I would think that board is still under warranty. They're still available too.

I'm guessing you don't want to wait for a replacement, but contact Asus, maybe they'll cross-ship.

Just a suggestion.

when I go to start it up I am getting a scrambled screen lines and what not all over the screen and the only way to get rid of it is to take out the battery and unplug it to clear Cmos, then I have to wait a few mins then plug it back in and re-do my settings,.
I changed video cards to see if that helped I bought a new PSU to see if that helped and now its progressivly getting worse. I used to see it once in a while now it happens quite often when I start my pc and everytime if I reboot it during the day.

I dont over clock or anything

You could try flashing the BIOS to a newer version if it's available. Your diagnosis sounds correct though. I'd say it's the motherboard.

Asus' warranty is three years.
