Hi,
I purchased a A7N8X Deluxe from Microbytes in Montréal,Qc January 24th 2003.
I am set up with:
2000 Athlon XP
2 x 512 400mhz Dual DDR Corsair
Maxtor 80 gig liquid HD
ATI 7500 Videocard
My problem occasionally occurs at boot or reboot of system I get the message "system failed memory test" when I first purchased the motherboard I had standard memory, had that problem still, when I added 2 sticks to enable dual ddr it didn't boot,so I called the store and they told me asus is touchy with mem,so I drove 1 hour back to the store and purchased Kingston mem as recommended by Tech.
Still same problem brought the motherboard back with the mem, they gave me a new mobo and told me go for the best mem with asus they once again said looks like the board is touchy with mem,so I purchased Corsair the best and very expensive.I am still having the mem probs,I went back to the store told them, and they told me ASUS MOBO`s are problematic and I should have purchased Abit or MSI they are more stable and Compatible,I freaked out I blew so much money and now they said its no good.are your mobos good my bios is the G version they told me to bring it in and they will flash my Bios for 100$,why should I have to do that when I purchased a product that should work in the first place they wont give me a new mobo with the bios update and I really don't know about updating it myself I am intimidated by that part of a PC.
Please can you help me I got this PC for my work and I have been on every forum trying to get info on it
but no luck.
Regards
