ok well, i didnt install the drivers for the video yet, but as im looking at my screen the 2d f'ing sucks. anyone else agree? shiznit is blurry!
 
oh and i would like to add that my monitor cannot do a high res. at 32 bit color. it switches it back to 16 bit. weird.

Hmm, maybe you should install those drivers, buddy.
 
i installed all the drivers neccessary. all the drivers are up to date, and it is still blurry. im assuming i have a bad board because i havent seen or heard about anyone else experiencing what im going through. this sucks.
 
depends on what resolution you are running out. Geforce 2 and before 2d res suck above 1280*1024. Sometimes lower.
 
It should not be that bad, especially at low resolutions, their MUST be a problem with either the board or the configuration.
 
There is no real reason the 2D should be blurry on that board, unless something is wrong with the monitor or board. The 2D on the nForce isnt bad at all as long as you keep it below ridiculous resolutions.

Question: What card did you upgrade from? and did you wipe the HD before swapping boards?
 
well i degaussed my monitor, and also reset it. it helped, but it still looks blurry. right now im on a regular gf3 and the text looks nothing like the text on my other computer. i upgraded from the same card, a geforce 2 mx. i also didnt totally wipe the hdd. my keyboard is broken so i did a install through the winxp cd where it fast formats for you. ill be fixing that tonight though. ill reformat tonight, and fix everything. thanks for all the great advice, you guys are wonderful.
