A7M266 with GF4ti4200

So I came into a bit of money and decided to upgrade my video card. I have an Asus A7M266 with an athlon 1.33GHz and 256MB PC2100 ram. I currently have no issues. I am upgrading from a GeForce 256 DDR to a GeForce 4 ti4200. The latest BIOS upgrade for the mobo says it added GF4 support but I've also heard its a bit unstable (thats version 1007 I'm refering to). So is it necessary to upgrade my BIOS in this case or will it work without an upgrade?

I'm mostly wondering if anyone out there is running on the same mobo with a GF4 and not with BIOS1007 and having no problems.

I was running my GF4 4600 on my a7m266 with the BIOS 1007 and a 1.4 Thunderbird CPU. I had no problems. I'm actually running the beta BIOS now (1008a266.02b) since I'm running a 2200 AMD CPU. Have had no problems with the GF4 card.
