Hi, this is a dumb question but i just got my hands on an asus A7M266 motherboard using a 1.4G athlon cpu and PC2100 DDR ram. However, in the bios it reports it as 10.5 x 133. when i bought the chip it said 266 on it, what does the 266 number refer to, the FSB ? i thought it meant that the FSB was doubled to 266, someone please clear it for me, thanks.

The 133 FSB is the figure that is NOT doubled, the doubled FSB is 266, dont worry its right

Imagine 10.5x 266 :)

The FSB sends twice as much information at 133mhz making it effectively a 266mhz bus. Your bios reports it correctly.
