A7M Owners: Which bios and how to flash it?

Just a quick question or two. (1) Should I use the AM26103 bios that's available at the asus.com.tw site or should I hold out for the 1004c leaked bios from the asuscom.de ftp site? I've noticed the german ftp site's not moving: are there any other places to get the 1004c bios?

(2) I'm used to flashing bios the old fashioned way, from Dos with a boot disk and a flash disk with dos utility. The aflash program I just downloaded says its "plug and play" does that mean I can run it from inside Win2k (is that a good idea)?

(3) I also downloaded Asus Update (asupd277.exe) and somebody at the amdzone bbs said to use it for the 1004c bios. Does this work the same as award flash or is it different.

Thanks guys, I'll appreciate your advice. Happy Paddy's Day from Dublin (where the streets are already running green with Emerald Bile)

I do not have the A7M so I cannot give advice on which bios to upgrade too. I do have a couple of other Asus boards though. First of all you need to make a bootable floppy with system files. Then put the aflash utility and your bios(make sure it is unzipped) onto the floppy. SHut down and boot from floppy. At the A: prompt type aflash.exe and the utility will start. Then it will ask which bios you want to upgrade to. Then you have to type in the name of it. For example 1004c.awd. Make sure you enter the awd or whatever it is that is after the "." . Good luck.
