a75 vs a80?

hey guys, i'm getting a cam this weekend for sure (end of college...been waiting for a looong time to get one)

and I can't decide between the A75 or the A80~ I've looked at many reviews, etc. and I'm probably just going to buy it at bestbuy/circuit city since BB has the A75 for 249 or the A08 for 299

but I'm wondering if that extra 50 dollars is worth the extra price? Both reviews from steve's digicams are are very favorable ( i couldn't find a dpreview.com for the a75 but i used the a70 as a subsitute) and i'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions to sway me one way or the other

Well, there are a bunch of "cam" threads (here and much more in Off-Topic) discussing the A70 and A80, which is basically the same comparison.

You don't list what you're looking for in a camera, so there's no logical basis to determine which one is best for you.

I picked the A80 myself, over A70, A75, S400, S410 for reasons I've given in half a dozen of the other "cam" threads, but to repeat myself:

I only plan to buy one camera for at least the next couple of years, it made more sense to spend $350 now (with case, charger, tax, shipping) instead of $200 now and another $200 next year to upgrade, the extra size over the s4xxx didn't bother me and I'd rather have the features than the compactness.

My uses? I'm the average Joe who likes messing around with photoshop (Educational version of course) and want to have good quality pictures 😛

I realize megapixel count isn't everything, and probably the most important thing is shutter lag (but both models seem to do just fine)

but i'll cehck out ATOT~~~ thanks
 
thanks all~ I picked up the A75 and am an eager beager to play wit hit. I read a lot of more reviews and conlcuded that since I'll print photos only rarely I don't need that many megapixels ~the largest i'll print will probably do is a 4x6 or something

does anyone know of a place with decent prices for recharagable batteris and cases for cameras, etc? I was going to buy some at Circiuit city but I figured they were marked up a lot and there is where they "roll in the bank" so to say
