I thought those questions relate to which two processors of approximately the same price and nearly the same spec were better, which doesn't seem to be proven one way or the other by the above post.

I'm currently trying to stablize my memory on DFI rig and playing with various BIOSes. Trying to do a fair comparison again but with the constant BIOS change it seems impossible. However one consistent pattern is that on ASUS board I get better 3DMark05 score. It's got to have to do with the motherboard (or the video card). On ASUS board, the most VCore I can set is 1.50V, and with it dancing like there is no tomorrow, 2.8GHz is the most I can get with my 4800+.

Edit: My 4800+ Max OC on ASUS A8N-SLI Premium BIOS 1009-001 (Beta)

I'm dying to try this 4800+ on my new DFI board, but I'm very afraid of taking apart my main rig. I once re-placed the CPU to change the HSF from Zalman to TT, ended up re-installing the OS. :frown:

Has someone made a Opteron overclocking chart where it shows how far one can overclock each specific type (verison) of opteron? I googled and I found not much of anything, I just cant find much of anything when it comes to benchmarks and stuff for the opteron.
