I figured I'd give a rundown on what I bought, where I bought it and how much is cost me. Trust me...this is for me to simply brag, I'm sure this system could be bested by a number of you 🙂. I found people's buying decisions and deal hunting helpful to me when I was making decisions, and I figured I'd return the favor. Feel free to comment good or bad. I'll break things down by where they were purchased.

$91.00 - Audigy2 ZS Retail
$9.00 - Lian-Li Aluminum Drive Cover(remember, PC-6077 only comes with one!)

Kinky...what was the total cost after shipping?

Total shipping should(if I added correctly, did it quickly) run me just under $100. High shipping cost is the price I paid for shopping around I suppose...but I got what I wanted and (I think) at reasonable prices. That would put the total at around $1585.

Wow. All that for just under $100? I'd say go for it and order me one too 😛

LOL -- oops....read too quickly 🙂

As for your rig, nice work man. Looks to be a killer system. I'm glad you were smart enough to go with the 7200.8 (make sure you enable NCQ in the BIOS first). And you going to love that heatsink, I've got one just like it. My only uber-tiny critique is that I would have gone with a different fan. I'm not familiar with X-Static, but I know that most fans out there are really really loud. Personally, I'd have gone with a Vantec Stealth to cut down on the noise.

Make sure you give us some pics and benchies when you get her set up. Congradulations. 🙂

be very careful with the AS5...only a small 3/4 BB in the center of heatspreader on the cpu...people have reported pulling the cpu out of the socket with AS5...very gooy...I used it and wish I had used my AS2....

Comparing the two, the Vantec is listed at 21dB and the Aerocool at 21.8dB. Hopefully the Aero lives up to the listing, if it does it should compare reasonably well. I'll let ya know how it works out.

Thanks for the heads up neal! I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

Benchmarks will be aplenty!
