A64/RAM Question

Let's say you have 4x512 PC4400 with an A64 what supports SSE3. The speed would go back to DDR400/PC3200 speed. So would the timings go down to regular PC3200 RAM or would they stay the same?

Theoretically, the RAM should be able to run @ their rated speed @ 2T.

However, the more i learn about A64s & RAM (even the Venices & newer), the less i'd count on that happening.

I personally have gone thru a nightmare trying to run 4x512 MB (even with a divider), & so have a lot of others.

My recommendation for A64s: avoid 4x512 if at all possible, or be prepared for trouble.
2x1024 = more expensive, but much less hassle.

You shouldnt have any trouble on the a64 system unless you overclock or try to set really tight timings, I think. Things should be considerably easier on the P4 side.
