The Chaintech VNF3 250 will work with mobile/DTR chips, but first you have to get another regular S754 A64 chip installed to flash to the latest official bios and then put in the DTR chip so it's recognized. Complicated, huh? I had the Chaintech but I sent it back because it starting having an intermittent high-pitched whine at idle. I don't know what was up with that, but it didn't do it under load. Anyway, I returned it and picked up a DFI NF3 250GB.

I highly recommend the Soltek NF3 250GB board if you're going to be doing mild overclocking with a DTR or mobile chip. It works great with the original bios. You're limited to 1.55 Vcore and 2.8 Vdimm, but that's about the only drawback to it. It's definitely one of the best boards I've ever used. I'm running it with a desktop 3000+ @ 2.5GHz but have also used it with a DTR 3200+ @ 2.4GHz.

If you're going to be doing some serious mobile/DTR overclocking, then you need the DFI NF3 250GB. I'm using this board with a 3200+ DTR and it's truly amazing. 2.5GHz rock solid! My DTR worked with the original bios, but I had to flash to the 09/14 beta bios to get rid of the reboot issues.

You can see my rigs in the link below. Good luck!

Hello, thanks !!

Ok for Chaintech.

So with DFI, it's possible to flash the bios with Mobile CPU installed ?

Thanks

Yes, you can.

There are just boot issues due to the low voltage every once in a while. The beta bios is said to take care of that.
