A64 Good Overclocking Week

Anyone know of a web site that sells known weeks of the 3000 or the 3200? Back in the days of the Celeron 300/450, which started all this overclocking, there were a few sites that would tell you the details of what you would be getting....and which week should I aim for?
 
I dont think there are any sites around that will tell you what week they are shipping. You might get lucky if you were to call. If I could have any chip, it'd be a week 48. Those hit around 2.8 on air... I think your best bet, if you want to handpick a chip, is to check your local shops.
 
I don't know if it makes that much of a difference anymore.

It seems almost all sub 3800+ can hit up to about 2.6ish and if lucky you can get to 3.0GHz, however, almost every person running that high that I have talked to mentions they can't run Prime95 accurately so YMMV.

I'd really recommend the 3200+, it's close in price and you get that bigger multi.

I am running one at 301.4 x 8.5 (2562MHz) 1.55V nothing crashes it
 
Don't be discouraged if your's can't reach 2.6 GHz. While that may seem like the norm around here, there are a LARGE number of processor that aren't capable of it.
 
According to my poll it looks like 2 out of 3 winchesters period wont make it......but it does appear 1 out of every 2 should make it to 2.5ghz at least...

I am hoping to really double to triple the numbers of responding to get a more accurate look at it....


I would like to set up a poll for each week to see if it is really more random then we think....week 51 is probably a good one to do since it has the most bad reports about it....
 
i think mine's like week 49 or something. Pretty good results so far. I'm up to 2.55GHz at 1.45V Vcore, I could probably hit higher if I wasn't using stock cooling. Overall, I've heard 48 & 49 are the best, and week 51 seems to be sucking it up big time. Of course, by now, you'll probably get 05 winchesters anyways, so it's kind of a moot point.

That's where I started, and that's how I discovered that the MSI K8N neo4 is defective and does not work as advertised.
