If I buy an A64 chip, do I need to buy the 64-bit version of windows?

windows 64bit is free for download from MS, I've been using it a couple months now and it's coming along nicely. With the latest 64bit Det's, and the 64bit SI SATA and realtek drivers I was getting almost identical scores in most benchmarks as I do in 32bit. Unfortunately I'm using a 9800pro now and ATi hasn't released 64bit drivers that are up to snuff yet so I'm not really using it anymore.
The 32bit performance is excellent of course and XP pro runs like a jewel on it. I definitely would wait an buy a nF3 250 board to compliment that A64 though.
Those are excellent questions, hopefully someone with something approximating an answer will chime in and tell us. I'm pretty bummed about ATi not jumping on the bandwagon. Looks like they would rather brag about performance of their cards on a game that doesn't come out for 18months afterwards instead of concentrating on what's important= making me happy 😛 Yeah I'm tryin' to start some sh@t talkin' trash about ATi :evil:Originally posted by: Duvie

How long until ATI has these drivers??? Do the Dets work with the Quadro line of CAD type cards???
