A64 4000+ (Single Core) Overclockability

I'm building a desktop PC for Internet and work and I'm gonna use my old Venice 3200+ (running at 2,4GHz at stock voltage) in that PC.
My AX8 only supports single core though, so the fastest CPU I can get other than a FX is a 4000+

I was wondering how much of an overclock I should expect at stock voltage, and how much more I can get by increasing the voltage?

i got to 2.65 with stock volts and 3.0 with '6.6%' on the geeks msi board... won't go higher even with more volts...

What do you mean by '6.6%' ? I'm more at home in the Cases&Cooling forum, so far I have obly done basic overclocking, since voltage increasing increases heat and that conflicts with my silencing nature
But 0.35GHz with higher voltage, looks like I've been missing out on some free performance. Good thing that I'm gonna go for two PCs in the future, one silent (the desktop that the Venice goes into) so my main rig doesn't need to be that silent anymore. Might bemore of an upgrade than I thought, 2.GHZ to 3.0GHz is nice.

Newegg reviews often claim 3.0GHz overclocks, did anyone fail to achieve that with their (recent) san Diego 4000+?

I only have one 4000+ but I'm running it at 3.12GHz at 1.475v. It'll run stable at 3.2GHz, but needs close to 1.6v to do it. :Q I ran it like that for a whole LAN party just fine, but decided to back off. Also, at 3.2GHz I had to either loosen up the latency or lower the multiplier on the RAM. At 3.12GHz the RAM is running around DDR 415 or so at CAS 2.
