I might get a new rig for my parents, and want to go dual core. Since I've been out of the loop a little, I might need a little enlightenment on what's going on.

The Opteron overclocks well I heard... good buy?

Impossible to say which will clock better. The X2 has a 10 multi, which makes it more attractive to me than the Optys extra cache.

Definitely looks promising - but my parents need a system as soon as possible... I won't be overclocking their office rig though. Thanks for the link to the thread - that cleared up quite a bit. X2 it is.
