A64 3500+ Venice or X2 3800+

1st thing, if you want single core, just get a 3000 and overclock it. a 3500 is a waste of money. next, if you need dual core, get dual core. imo, it might be kinda nice to be able to do a couple things at once and not have your computer completely unresponsive 😉 . it really depends on what you are using the computer for. if you game, it may not be a good idea to sacrifice cash on the video card just so you can afford the x2 3800

he already has the 3500+ venice..

why is the 3500+ a waste of money? some people don't overclock. and others enjoy the higher mults you get with the 3500 vs the 3000.

thats the way i look at it, I have a 3500 winnie and haven't got it overclocked...maybe later when i build my next puter (x2). Everbody doesn't o/c and want the best they can get. Personally, I want to o/c but just haven't had the courage to get my feet wet. I can talk the talk but can't walk the walk yet...

Maybe in time with some help from the pro's from AND I will be able to...
