A64 3500+ overclocking...

Hi,

I have an ASUS A8V Deluxe, A64 3500+ and 2x512Mb Corsair 3200LL RAM.

What options do I have with regard to overclocking the CPU without pushing the RAM past it's rated speed? I think the answer is none... both CPU and RAM are at 200Mhz, right?

So, if I wanted to push the 3500+ up a bit (maybe to 3800+ speeds?) what would I need to do? Should I invest in some new RAM with more FSB "headroom"? PC4000? 4500?

Also, any tips on recommended settings for an initial overclock would be appreciated.

Thanks,
JJ

A memory divider doesnt hurt performance on athlon 64, so just use a 166 divider or so, and you should be fine. Dont spend a lot of money on high performance ram, as besides some benchmarks you wont be able to tell a difference.
