A64 3000+ 939 Question

Hello, I'm going to buy an A64 3000+ soon, and I wanted to know, what are the chances of getting a week 51 3000+? I heard they were bad overclockers, and I plan to overclock when I get my 3000+. Thanks.

my guess is that by now you'll be getting a 2005 one, which are supposed to be pretty damn good. I think mine is a week 49 or something, and it's pretty good, and I've heard that newer ones (this year) are good, too. Of course, the number of people who got week 51 winnies here is likely pretty small, so maybe it's just a coincidence that they got bad ones.

My 0451 goes up to 2.55ghz, and I think that is limited from my 350w power supply because it'll do that around 1.50v or so. I personally think its a coincidence that all these people had bad 0451 overclockers.

Week codes don't guarantee good or bad chips, I've seen 51's doing 2.7 on air, and I've seen chips that are supposed to be great 47's and 48's that are stuck at 2.2. It's luck of the draw.

i bought my athlon 64 3200 like a week and a half ago, and just got it last monday.

and i got a week 49 04 chip from svc.com so old chips are still around.
