On this page you find that the price is 659. The rebate forms are at the bottom of the page

http://www.microcenter.com/rebates/rebate_show.phtml?id=22093
http://www.microcenter.com/rebates/rebate_show.phtml?id=22144

so 659- 200 MIR= $459

Also at microcenter if you are approved for a visa card, you further get $100 off that makes it

$459-100= $359

Winbook makes ok notebooks from what I hear. Basic system for a cheap price. 90 day warranty is concerning tho. Personally I'd spend a few hundred more and get a better machine with a better warranty.

This is real hot! Any word on those rebates? I have never been to MC and I see so many of those rebates going to Mesa, AZ. Doesn't look like they conflict in anyway... Each one only requires a copy of the reciept 15 days from the date of purchase.

So any feedback would be appreciated! And yeh Winbooks aren't bad.

shoot is this in store only? I am kinda of confused when they say "..purchase the product from Microcenter between 12/05/05-1/01/06.."

Also: Whats up with that Visa. Looks to be only in-store to get that 100$ off.

kay my friend wantted a cheapo laptop and we went and got one for $459. paid 659 thh and we haved already sent out the rebate stuff..

regarding the laptop, it is surprisingly nice for just 256 mb ram. since this only comes with a 10*100 ethernet card, we bought a usb wireless adapter for 9.99 after rebates. $35 before rebates.

i am right now using the winbook to post this message. i really now think i shld also get one of this as a backup machine...i went to the columbus, ohio MC and they still have 22 pieces left.

negatives is that..they only ave 90 day warranty..and ram is only expandable to 1 gig...

regarding the visa card, you need to get preapproved for a MBNA visa , once approved you get 13000 bonus points which you can then use to get another 100 bucks off..and get it down to 359...

hmmm....warranty's on laptops are useful....

less than 2 hour battery life isn't very useful

but 6.25 lbs isn't bad for the price.

I think for 129 more dollars MicroCenter gives u a three year warranty.i am not absolutely sure if its 2 or 3 years.

regarding the battery life..i charged ny friends laptop and used it without power for > 2 hrs..all xp processes were running, plus winamp, firefox, yahoo messneger AVG AV, plus bloat s/w that came with the notebook
