A civil war broke out in the group as it antagonized Donald Trump, with leaders splintering over financial arrangements and revelations of online harassment by a top official.

- Lincoln Project got $87M in donations but $27M went to a consulting firm created by it's 4 founders. (This has pissed off the other 4 leaders who are paid nowhere as much.)
- Typical workplace management practices were lacking. There was no CEO and 2 contractors were given seats on it's Board of directors. (WTF?!?!)
- Male Sexual harassment accusations against one of the founders (who is also male). He is now on leave.
- Another founder resigns from Board amid deepening crisis 😱


I hope they do a Phoenix and rise from it's ashes.
Do you see Implosion or will they be able set the ship aright?

The Lincoln Project was only ever about grifting dollars from the Republican party that they built and lost control of.

They were never on our side, and their mission was a complete failure. They "went after" multiple Republicans who won re-election with higher vote percentages than their previous election.

They grifted money from a couple of Republicans, and a bunch of gullible liberals.

That's all they ever were. Grifters.

That is OK!! The served their purpose.......making sure Trump did not get re-elected!! All good things must come to an end, one way or the other!!
 
wait, republican grifters created a company to funnel money towards ousting a tyrant and now other members of that company are pissed that republican grifters do what republican grifters only ever do?

Seems like they served their purpose and made some good ads along the way.

How do Ds prefer to have them end? In power with lots of money, or taking themselves out in their suicide bombing of Trumpworld?

At some point you'd figure they'd turn their firepower in directions less friendly. Maybe not the worst thing to happen.

What the Ds really need is an organization that's as technically competent at political tradecraft as the LP, but not so compromised.
Imo, preferably moderates who can stay on message and win back the working class and not get baited into the dumb culture wars the cultists prefer to play in.

I'm not sure any two people are ever really on the same side in this world. Everyone's circumstances, experiences, and self-interests are different. Sometimes they coincide for a little while in a particular context, but it usually doesn't last.
