Greetings All
Hey, I am fairly new to WinXP so if you don't mind I have a couple of questions that I need assistance with.

1) in my Windows folder is a TEMP folder which has some sub-folders in it so I was wondering if it would be OK to delete them like I could in the other OS's.

2) my boot up time is frigg'n slow now so how do I find the place to dis-able some of the things running in the background.

i delete the contents in mine from time to time and nothing ever happens.

to control apps and services that load up during start up: =>start =>run =>type "msconfig" =>configure what you need and reboot
