An east Texas teenager is arrested for assault after authorities say he beat up another teen for wearing a political T-shirt to school.

Ryan Oster says a group of black students threatened him for wearing a "NObama" shirt to Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler. Oster says he went to the restroom and took it off, but the threat was still carried out.

The school says the incident is still being investigated. Oster's father says everyone involved in his son's attack should be charged.

Can you imagine a black student wears a No McCain/Palin t shirt and then gets threats and beat up by white students? Who is the real racist? Where is Jessie/Sharpton? When can we start a march? Where is the FBI, Dept of Justice? Where is that white student civil right?

What is the point of this thread? Was Obama's campaign involved in this? Did they carve a backwards "B" in his cheek?

I got beat up by black kids when I was in school too, my race (white) probably had something to do with it, and I didn't even wear a shirt that was likely to stir emotions. Yet somehow I survived and managed to not project their behavior onto every black person I've met. Isn't that amazing?

And yes, I can imagine white kids doing effed up things to black kids too. I see it all the time.

Today in Cypress, TX 300 students wore t-shirts with McCain peeing on Obama and shirts that said "It's called the White House for a Reason" and nothing happened to them by black students. Quit trying to race bait. Your one example in a podunk TX town fails.

And the people here have all been charged. Seems to me that everything that should be done has been.

The blacks were racist. The white kid was wearing a political shirt not a racist one.

Of course, they only fight when they have AT LEAST a 10:1 ratio in their favor.

Who is the true racist?
Why do people pull this kind of BS? When one group overwhelmingly does something, and a small faction of the other does the same thing....yea, you can't reverse it like that. It doesn't work.

If someone only read Anandtech all their lives, they would think that the White man is an underprivileged minority who has been victimized time and time again because of his race and gender.

Not at all. In all honesty I think black people are more openly racist. I think white people are better at hiding it though. I think asians are the WORST at hiding their racism.

Black people will tell you stuff straight to your face. White people will talk about it behind your back. But man, asian people will talk about it behind your back and in your face in another language

Heh, it's mostly lighthearted stereotypes. I don't mean any of it in aggregate, just from my own experience in rare circumstances. I just don't like it when people play the victim, no matter what race, and I think the OP is certainly baiting us into that.

Racism is always WRONG. If you are concerned about a specific event or situation communicate the FBI and the USAG office about your concerns.

Oh I see, because the kid happened to be white and the guys who beat him up were black, it's racism?

BTW, Nobama isn't a pro-McCain organization. It's a FUD spreading right wing movement.
