Any suggestions as to things to do?

My wife and I are going to arrive on Friday morning and spend the weekend in Edingburgh in August. We have to be in Oxford a week later.

Any suggestions for the rest of our time?

Edinburgh is GORGEOUS! I loved going there for weekends.

Wait until VeggieFrog gets on, or PM her.. maybe you guys can get a pint or something.. she is in... hmmm... I think she is still in York. But by then might be in Rotherham. Still.. see what she and Neosenate are doing.

:)

Pretty much the same as it is any other month. Doesn't often change shape, actually.

Look up Sir Curt Godfrey of the Nessie Alliance and summon the help of Scotland's local wizards to cast a protective spell over the lake and its local residents and all those who seek for the peaceful existence of our underwater ally.

Ah right. Well the weather in scotland is pretty poor throughout apart from the summer season. Good summers usually span from August 5th right the way through to August 6th so it's best to go then.
