A week after LASIK

The antibiotic and anti-inflammatory treatments are finished, all that remains is the regular application of artificial tears. The left eye is is a perfect 20/20, though the right had some problems with wrinkles, which have since been resolved. The right is about 20/40, with expectations to improve, which I can see it slowly doing.

The big question, though, is it safe to consume alcohol again?

Why not LASEK/LASIK? From the reading and consultation I did prior to my surgery it seemed PRK had more drawbacks.

Why not LASEK/LASIK? From the reading and consultation I did prior to my surgery it seemed PRK had more drawbacks.

PRK is much better than regular lasik. The only downside is the healing time. PRK has less risks for problems. Do the research and you'll see.

PRK is a much more indepth procedure, with a lot more pain and lot longer recovery time. LASIK is a simpler, quicker procedure, with a shorter recovery time.

Some people that aren't good candidates for LASIK are good PRK candidates though. It all depends on the person, status of their eyes, and how many time and money they have to throw around.

I agree. I was advised to get PRK. I did the research on the facility (Diamond Vision) and the doctor (Dr. Stetson). I got a great deal and as of Wednesday I will be able to see without these damn glasses!
