a way to recover a document password?

Hi, I lost the password of a document...
it is Microsoft Word format (*.doc), is there a way to recover it?

You can write a macro in another document to cycle through every character and then add another digit and cycle through each character again, every time a new combination is created (each cycle) you get the macro to use it to open the document.

This wont work if your password is too long as it will take too long. How long is the pword likely to be?

but is there a program that can crack or hack in to the document without writing a "macro"?

what i mean is , i remember last time i last the pword for my ICQ...

i use a program that to look into the history of icq and find that exact word. Not like a dictionary way that to try from aaa to zzz

anyone know a program like that for microsoft word?
