Fortunately we can really narrow that down to one out of....hundreds of people. lol.
It wouldn't be that surprising if it was mutiple poeple that pooled their experiences. That would make it harder to nail down who had all the information.

I do wonder how they are going to write this book and remain anonymous. Either what you're saying is right or the book will be so vague as to be pointless. It seems if it really is just one person's recounting it would be super easy to figure out who that is.

Took a damn long time to nail down deep throat. The original that is.

Wow that’s a big tell
Good catch and I agree

That would be a really REALLY clumsy mistake for a military man that wanted to hide his identity. Something that obvious would make me believe it's somebody that wants people to think its military. Who has a grudge against a general?

Why would it have anything to do with that?

It's like asking whether the book has something to do with a random anti-Trump comment from a media pundit or from a random person on social media.

"It has been written as an act of conscience and of duty. "

- Yea, thats a general.

Could be, or could also be someone who was raised/mentored/influenced by military person as well, or even someone who went through a military style school growing up. I do not have military service, but work very closely with a number of folks that did. I have picked up a number of habits, phrases, values, etc. from them. I would easily find myself saying the exact same thing in the authors position.

If you felt that strongly about it you shouldn't remain anonymous. Seems pretty cowardly to me or just wanting to make the money while the iron is hot. I'm thinking the latter.

While I would normally agree this is the trump administration we are talking about here. I’m not even sure if they know what drawer the financial disclosure forms are in.
They were in the top drawer of the file cabinet where the height challenged whistleblower worked.

Trump DoJ threaten's author saying he will be violating "one or more nondisclosure agreements" by writing the anti-Trump book.

Fuck them. Non Disclosure agreements don't mean shit and the DoJ shouldn't even be discussing them without knowing the book content. Few things actually apply.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see how those NDAs are possibly enforceable. How can the president stop public employees from speaking out about things that are presumably not classified?

There are agency agreements if there's a risk of sensitive or classified materials being included.

In other news, DOJ admits to the existence of non-disclosure agreements, while acceptable in the private sector, amount to criminal conspiracy in the public sector.

Trump ‘NDAs’ for government employees are unenforceable. It isn’t his company.

The DOJ sued Snowden for the same thing. These aren't the Trump NDAs.

That doesn't seem to be the same thing at all though. It's not that the government can't prevent people from disclosing any information, it's that as far as I know none of the information to be disclosed in this book has national security implications or anything like that. Private parties can have nondisclosure agreements for any reason or for no reason but the government has to cross a pretty high bar before it can inhibit speech.

Someone is publishing a book....

I mean, when you're writing and having a book publisher - there is DEFINITELY not a monetary incentive to drastically over-emphasize it as some kind of smoking gun, right? Right?

Christ, this is just a marketing gimmick - the president is already a dipshit, we don't need someone else trying to make money off of saying the obvious.
