the one marketing slogan that i heard the past few days was "she's perfect, should her diamond be anything less?" some reason it gets on my nerves. i guess you can always interpret it as her being perfect in MY eyes, and the huge cubic zerconia is also perfect in MY eyes

i sort of agree. DeBeers is worse than the OPEC and MS combined in terms of monopolizing the market. apparantly DeBeers has warehouses full of diamonds in south africa which they dont release to the market to keep the demand up and thus the price super super inflated

I wouldn't even mind the monopoly and artificial price controlling if they treated their workers better.
