A TV Card on a high resolution screen? Does it work?

I intend soon to drop a TV Tuner card into my computer soon, but was concerned with the following thought:

I see many cards advertised as something to the effect of: support up to 800x600, etc.

I run my system at 1280x1024

Will TV Tuner cards run well displaying at this resolution? Will certain ones work? (All-in-wonder's don't count...those wouldn't have an excuse for not functioning properly.)

If you're running at a high resolution and have a tuner card that works just fine, please post here...thanks!

I have a PCTV Pro card. It is one of the best pieces of hardware I ever bought(as far as pleasure goes). I would highly recommend this card to you. You can scale the size from a tiny little picture to the whole screen. Once you have one, you will never go without one again.

well, the source size isn't going to be more then 640x480.. but it can be resized like dvd without any icky pixels etc. I run my desktop at 1600x1200, so my tv card does that at full screen:p
