So when was the last time you voted for a republican presidential candidate?

I think this is the only true test of partisan ship in a comunity.

Anything before this is might as well be never.

If never: do you consider yourself 'moderate'?

I think your "rules" for this thread are fundamentally flawed. Perhaps you should go back to the drawing board and rethink your premise.

Agreed.

It's also odd it's limited to presidential candidates. What if someone voted straight Republican in state and congressional elections but never in the presidential elections. Are they partisan Democrats? Of course not. This poll is flawed as a test for partisanship. However, it's interesting to see how many people have stopped supporting Bush(as seen in other polls) despite voting for him last election.

It's just a dig at L/Ds, poorly disguised as a 'legitimate question'. Same as this thread.

Why wouldn't you have a second poll that includes Democrats (is it not needed because voting straight ticket Republican Presidents back to Nixon makes you a moderate)? That would make your ridiculous partisanship test more fair, but then again, it's only a pathetic attempt to slight liberals and true moderates.

Well this thread is completely confusing, but I voted for GWB last time out. This time for Kerry.

Aye, it is kind of like when people automatically assume things about people because of states.(I was caught doing this a while ago; oops! Someone set me straight though :))

Not so; being partisan isn't something to be ashamed of.. aslong as you can, with intelectual honesty, defend why you belive what you do.

National level politics is ware the truth of how you stand in the nation comes out. In many places the republicans are more liberal than Bill Clinton was.

I've voted Republicans for Pres. since 1984 (with Clinton in '92 being the only exception).

I'll vote Kerry in Nov.
