A time for name calling...

Oh, and the republiKlans were sooooo good about making nice with Clinton after he whipped Bush's ass!

What a fscking joke!

My guess is this BS will die off in a few months. Maybe even just a few weeks. There's no way they can milk it for his entire presidency, the public would get tired of it.

Yakko: Clinton won by at least 10 times as many votes as Gore did. Bush Sr. would have called it an ass whipping if the tables had been turned.

Red: ROTFLMAO!!!

Yet another reason why you may be the only person deserving Elite status on this board. Sheezh. Too funny and very insightful.

Red,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for fulfilling the expectations that I had for your level of contribution. I might have been disappointed if you had actually offered something worthwhile, or even new.

<< I just hate to see you continue to look foolish saying the same tired old gibberish day in and day out. >>

Likewise.

<< you made the word Liberal into an insult >>

No Regan did that........ I have posted the definition of "consevative" and "liberal" before but it falls on deaf (and Dumb, really fvcking dumb) ears.

Time for a healing?

Yes, it is high time that Democrats reach across the isle, and ask the Republicans forgiveness, for the last 8 years.

We will now begin the process of restoration of our National Treasures, squandered and spent, by 8 years of Democrat occupation.

As Victors, we will expect a humble and contrite hearts, from the vanquished Democratic army. Then and only then, you can then expect from us, grace.

Power will however, remain in the hand of the Victors.

🙂

MrPALCO,

Sometimes even I find you mildly annoying, so I can assume that you drive the liberals to the point of apoplexy. Good job!

The country will recover from the trauma of this election and the related legal debacle. We will move forward. Bush will appoint a solid Cabinet, which most-likely will include a Democrat or two. He will bring people together, as he has demonstrated during his tenure in Texas.

<< which most-likely will include a Democrat or two. >>

Personally, I completely support the idea of Bush appointing a couple of democrat Senators to his cabinet. I think it is an excellent idea, and these should come from states with Republican Governors.

Most people think he's a dumb ass who got where he is because of who his father is.

Red,

Thanks for reminding me that you are the voice of America. In all the excitement, I had forgotten.

Red... i grant you that it seems the Republicans did 'have it in' for Clinton these last 8 years, not always without good reason. Whether or not Mr. Clinton might have brought some of it upon himself is a topic for another thread.

That being said, when and if Mr. Bush partakes in an activity seen as being wrongdoing (as defined by the opposition), i should think it the proper thing to do for him to be investigated, etc. the same way Mr. Clinton was. Don't forget as well that it has worked both ways - Bob Packwood and Newt Gingrich have both also been subjected to the same process, and ended up much the worse for wear. I can think of dozens of other examples from both sides of the aisle as well.

Although it sometimes leads to unappetizing results (such as the whole dustup about Monica), that's how the system works to keep both sides honest. Until one side is willing to be willing to surrender these weapons to offer a truce to the other side, i think we're going to continue to witness Presidents and other high officials be dragged through the mud whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I think it almost certain that Bush will be subject to some sort of scrutiny at some point in his administration, for what, who knows.

A time for healing? I feel pretty healthy. In fact I think I'll go to my local McDonald's disenfranchise and buy a burger. 🙂

Heheh, Great minds DO think alike. 🙂

<< No doubt, the question is what were you thinking? >>

What I've been thinking for a long time now. Thinking how grateful I am that the internet doesn't have the capability to transmit smell.

RED,
You are my hero!!! In order to get respect, you have to give it. The republicans have forgotten that and maybe never knew it. "GOODTIME GEORGE ",will never be more than a figurehead. But one thing, I thank the republicans for setting the game rules on how to behave. This should be fun!!!! LOL!!

Woodsman, I concur. As much as I agree with the basic Republican [paper] ideologies, I despise the party. The American public is already disgusted with the Republikan party, or Bush would have won in a landslide. I'm hoping the Democraps pull the same thing, and turn everyone off from their point of view. The time would then be ripe for a nice, middle of the road party to take control.

Red, even though you and I happen to be on [somewhat] opposite sides of the fence with this year's elections, I love to read your comments. I suppose you could phrase your ravings a little more eloquently, but you do a damn good job of nailing down how I, the disenfranchised American voter, feels. It could have been so much fun teaming up with you if only McCain were given the Republikan nod.

Russ, as much as I respect you and your views, your statements are exactly my problem with the Republikans. It seems as if you are in favor of the party first, American second.

<< Personally, I completely support the idea of Bush appointing a couple of democrat Senators to his cabinet. I think it is an excellent idea, and these should come from states with Republican Governors. >>

I don't give a damn about a person's political affiliation. It's his actual views that matter to me.
