A three hour tour.

taken as a whole, with all the different evolutions, i'd say gilligan's island, three's company, and brady bunch are too close to call for greatest ever. other legit contenders have to include doctor who, the twilight zone, i dream of jeannie and batman. is there a modern era show with a better opening than game of thrones? i very much doubt it.

I missed these old school shows. As well as I Love Lucy and the Honeymooners.

I'm dating myself a bit here aren't I? 😀

i believe dennilfloss would have something to contribute to this thread. probably the "romantic relationship with a fictional character" thread, too. hell, he would have owned it!

I think back on how many hours of my life were wasted watching this dreck.

There have been a lot of memorable TV show intros over the years. The one from Gilligan's Island is _far_ down the list of great ones. It just happens to be burned into the brains of everyone who sat lifelessly watching 700 reruns of this crap after school.

I wonder if I ever laughed at a single gag from this "comedy". Needless to say, though, I was easily entertained as a kid.

For all you Catholics out there please note that the tune of the Gilligan's Island theme song is the same as for the hymn These Forty Days of Lent.
