A thread to generalize Texans (conservative ones of course)

Since there's been enough threads generalizing anything weird that happens in the Bay area being caused by the evil liberals that run rampant and lawless, I thought maybe we could shine a light on the other side of the spectrum. Namely that would be the fine upstanding way far right-wing conservatives that make Texas such a paradise.

Feel free to contribute your story of righteousness.

We'll start with Andrea Yates of Houston. In one selfless act she drowned all her children in order to save them from evil (the liberals of course) and is a fine example of the typical Texas conservative republican.

Let's not forget the Houston office of Arthur Andersen a firm which boldly stepped forward and shredded documents in order to protect the conservative way of life. Quite the model of Texas business.

David Koresh has been mentioned of course and what a fine example of how the Texans will stomp down and slaughter the evil liberals. A proud moment to be sure.

They shot J.F.K. an obvious liberal in order to protect the right wingers right?

*of course this is only to show how ridiculous the bay area bashing is*

Way to perpetuate the cycle of stereotypes. Since you decided to pick a clearly sick person, so will i. Californians, of course.

Flamefest! Flamefest!

Yates is a nutjob. They'd be doing the entire country a favor if they took her out back and shot her. She could've been from "anywhere."

The whole Arthur Anderson thing is another fine example of a typical high-dollar business with their hands in Unlce Sam's pockets. Also could've happened "anywhere."

Texas is a fine conservative state. Lots of "old money." Most folks here in TX are hard-working, mainstream Americans that espouse the principles this country was built on and traditional, "normal" roles for men and women. Lots of Bubbas down here. Lots of trailer trash too. But for the most part, it's a great state.

California, on the other hand, is a state with lots of beautiful scenery and beautiful people...with nothing between their ears. Lots of tree hugging, latte-guzzling, child-adopting gay couples who don't fit in anywhere else, so they run to the den of iniquity (for lack of a better term) that is California.

That sounded semi-intelligent to me. Let the flames fly. I love the Internet. 😀

I, living nowhere near either state, am now prepared to sit back and watch the streaks of virtual internet nuclear missles colorfully trail across the sky between CA and TX. Wait, don't start yet. I have to go get some beer and pretzels

i agree..california equals pansy..it's okay though..california should erode for the united states in a few yrs or so..😉

Strangely enough, Texas was a Democratic stronghold until the civil rights issues began to be discussed, the state went Republican/conservative and hasn't looked back...

& if you start looking, there are bad examples everywhere. If you take a situation out of context, sure there are some bad examples here, but if you fartor in per capita nutcases, we're about normal (I believe we're the 2nd behind California as far as total population, and our lights didn't go dim last summer either🙂)

I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could🙂

Unless you want to start a specific thread slamming something in particular, this is kinda pointless. There are both worthy and worthless people in every state in the union and there's no particular rhyme or reason to it. Just because Texmaster is so narrow-minded as to label California (Berkeley in particular) as the Sodom of the nation based on a few news articles doesn't mean you have to adopt that mentality as well.

I am a Texan! One thing these people did not have in common was a conserative philosophy. But they were:

ANDREA YATES - water hazard

ANDERSON - just doing what everyone else did but hasnt been caught at yet

KORESH - originally a budist, reinvented as a cult leader

AND we all know California is the land of 'fruits' and 'nuts'. 😉

No, but if you mention the words 'black' and 'bad' in the same paragraph you will be labeled a racist, regardless of any other apparent connection that there may be.

is it a suprise that there are more white psychos than black psychos? no. Please keep in mind that there are MANY more white people than black people in America. Isnt the ratio something like 6.5 to 1?

What about OJ? 😛

Ah flavio. Don't EVEN get me started on California.

Pssst: power shortages during the summer due to an inept and incompetent state government.

Highly suggested you back off this one. You WILL lose.

Careful there....a certain TX-based company might have had a hand it that debacle as well....

Flavio, maybe you could give us a flow chart with a coverage pattern of the number of nutjobs per square mile in the bay area vs. Texas.

😀

I live in Texas and can vouch for the crazy ass people who live here....let us not forget the woman who hit that homeless man and left him to die in her windshield while she drove home and had sex with her boyfriend. When I first moved to Texas, they were the biggest bunch of friendly people I had ever met....I lived in NY previously, so that was my comparison. But lately, most have become the most mean spirited and paranoid group ever seen. Crazy, paranoid and mean don't mix well together! Road rage is a major problem now, and with the concealed weapon law passed, it is a waiting game to see if and when someone will pull a gun and shoot someone that cuts them off, so far only once that I know of....last summer in Bedford at Central and Airport Freeway. Speaking of summer....the violence always gets worse then.....the heat makes em even more stupid and crazy.

Just remembered: Couple weeks ago here a 13 year old shot his best friend twice at point blank range (said it was an accident) and killed him. They filed murder charges against the kid.....said his story was inconsistent with what they found.....what is worse, is the step father of the kid that was killed had told his step son not to go over the kids house anymore because he knew there were guns in the house.

Also....IMO.....Yates should be drowned like her kids were killed......bitch!

Don't forget the town of Guilmore in Texas who thought satanic cultists were kidnapping their children and were molesting and sacrficing them (it turned out they sent like 20 innocent people to prison).

Anyway, here's a good generalization: If you don't live in one of the major Texas metropolitan areas (i.e. Houston, Austin, etc.), you probably live in a white trash rural area.

Why would you want a generalize any group? You're obviously referring to Texmaster, but just because his views differ from yours you decide to deride a group based on what state they live in? Very open minded of you. :disgust:

What about the Texas Chain Saw Massacre......California has nothing to match.....neither does any other state.

I am not generalizing Texas....I live and work with these crazy fvcks everyday......

Glad to see Bush Jr. moved out....even if it is only for a couple more years..........flame on!
