I think some of the above guys nailed it..... No beep codes from the onboard speaker mean????

Dead Mobo or PSU.

Test the PSU in a know good unit not just with a multi meter.

If you know how to use a multi meter then what are the readings you got on the different cords?

Otherwise RMA the board and hope for the best.

err, unless he jumped the onboard buzzer to "on" then the default is off. i've never heard mine make a peep.

Yeah, im sick of this, i have no money to replace stuff, so id really have liked this to remain simple.... believe i will be rma-ing both the mobo and psu just to be sure

the fact that it cant even turn on now definately suggests either psu or mobo.

I would like to thank Sunner, TheGingerbreadGenius, Gatt, boomerang, Phil, 3chordcharlie, blackrain, rise4310, nweaver, JimPhelpsMI, TSS, NuroMancer and python023 for you magnificent help.

Your advice has been greatly appreciated, and i wouldnt have been able to pinpoint what the problems were without you.

Many Thanks 🙂🙂 !!!

EDIT: RAM is fine, and when i changed speaker to on, i realised that my computer wouldnt even start up

True, so then he should take the speaker wire from his current case and plug it into one of the mobo's that does have beep codes working so he knows if thats it or not.

Or, conversly (sp?) he should just take it in to someone who knows what their doing.
