This is a great example of why "TeAm Anandtech" and all of the memebers that does for this team makes us such a great team! I hope that this team never has to go thue that... I hope that team can also learn from this.... I also hope that team falls apart and shows the stupidness of the leaders that the next time a votting for the team cause not them but everyone of that team makes that team.. is a much better way to go!

Our team has had times of confilt too. I seem to remember when Cobra (Tim) got in his mess with the mods, causing him and many other big members to leave.

Anyway, I wish them luck in working it out.

Yep, I remember that situation. I was one of those who left for a short time in protest to the mods decision on several bannings. I'd still like to see Denis, Tim, and others back in the AT forums. :)

The important thing is we worked it out and I think much of the credit goes to the leaders of the SETI team for that. Thanks for keeping us together. :D

I think it is sad myself. There seems to be some good people on that team who just wants to crunch seti for their team and a few people fighting over power and not really thinking of their teammates are messing up the team and taking the fun out of it for the rest of the team.
Hope they can pull through it

We are good strong team now though :D

I feel sorry for that team and hope that they sort things out or come to some sort of agreement like we did.

I hope Im not starting a flame war like they did but does TeAm have "leaders" or is based on democrazy(cant spell it :)). Not that it matters. Both has it advantages and disadvantages...

There has to be someone on the team with the passwords to the Seti @ Home team account.
It would make very little sense and in fact be very bad to let everyone on the team have that password, as anyone with the password could change the team name, kick off members, disband the team.
Therefore the team password has to be trusted to a small number of people who will act wisely on the teams behalf.
That is the way it works for every Seti @ Home group, ours is no different.
The very fact that you didn't know if our seti team has "leaders" speaks well of their ability, we are doing very well as a team under their "leadership" and there is no need for any political efforts and ugliness.
Major things that happen with the TeAm usually come up for discussion here on the forum so you can view that as democracy if you like. ;)

What he said.^^^^

The people that have the passwords on our team only act on that power when asked to and only after it has been discussed before hand by all members of this team that wish to participate in an open discusion on this forum. It isn't really like they are leaders or anything, they are more like trustees that have power only when those trusting them give it to them. I'm very proud of the way all member of this team have acted in the past and in the present.

I, unfortunately, remember the situation we had here over a year ago, as if it was yesterday. There was a lot of shiz going down, and we lost some great members from the forum, and the TeAm, due to the actions of a lock-happy Mod.

But enough of that, that's in the past, and we have overcome that, and are now stronger than ever. I wish www.overclockers.com Seti Team (or whatever they're called now) the best of luck, and hope that they get the situation sorted :)

Now, to get the discussion of a TA and BBR merger going...;)

I thought BBR was already part of..... oh, that BBR ;)

Yeah, i hope the overclockers can straighten things out. Crunching for SETI is just fun & crunching with your team just makes it that much more fun. No need for all the BS.

I actualy think that the descusions that are going on over there are actualy perty quiet. We have had some that make that look like childs play. But because of the TeAm that we are, we have all worked things out. Some people have had different ideas about it, but majority of the people on this forum know that it is a team. WE work things out as a TeAm. WE grow as a TeAm. And that's what matters. We are a TeAm and no one will ever take that away from us.

Well, maybe Anand. But I don't think he would ever do that. As a matter of fact. I know he wouldn't. :)
