A system (memory) configuration issue?

I'm putting together a system and I'm wondering if this configuration will be an issue. I have a Core 2 Dual E6850 going into an Asus P5KC MB. This is a Crossfire ready board. My graphics card is an evga 8800GTS 640mb. I have no interest in doing SLI or CF so as far as I know there shouldn't be a compatibility issue between the card and MB. My question is this. I also have 2GB of PC8500 Dual OCZ memory (2x1GB) @ 1066MHz which is listed as SLI ready EPP. The latency ratings are listed as 5-5-5-15. In reading about the memory from OCZ's website for this memory the third paragraph has me a bit confused: http://www.ocztechnology.com/p...y_edition_dual_channel So I assume by custom-designed Bios they mean that you can manually set your memory timings in your bios? So should I proceed with this memory-MB setup or should I change out memory for something different. This memory wasn't specifically listed on Asus's Qualified Vendor List for this motherboard so I'm not sure if there will be a compatibilty issue. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

(p.s. sorry about the long-winded post)

Just set the timings and voltage manually. DOn't let the bios do it. Only certain boards would read the EPP anyway and do it right. 99% of them don't work that way. It was mostly a marketing thing for Nvidia chipsets.

The marketing thing is kind of what I figured. I was going to manually set the timings since according to the manual some 1066 will be auto detected as 800 anyway. I was worried that because the Asus QVL didn't list that memory it may not work correctly. I'm sure the list is not exactly up to date. Thanks for the reply.
