I find being pro death penalty to be very odd for conservatives who claim to be for small government. It seems giving the government the power to legally murder a citizen is not small government at all.
I'm pro choice, but that doesn't mean I like abortion as an option, I'm pro giving that choice.
I've never denied that I don't like guns. I dislike something that was created with the purpose of killing human beings. I am not for removing the right to bear arms, though I do feel that the 2nd Amendment requires you to ignore completely half the text to read it as an individual right (Supreme Court disagrees with me I realize). I am for what I call intelligent gun control. It does not require removal of gun rights to control it intelligently, but better enforcement of existing laws could go a long way. Fast and Furious debacle only even happened because Arizona gun laws are too lax and wouldn't allow prosecution of the suspected gun runners. Note for this discussion that there are regulations on abortion such as who can perform it and up until how late it can be performed. There need also be regulations on gun but no need to remove the right entirely.
