does all sata cable look the same or not?

what is the difference between sata 1 or sata 2 cable? sata 1 is 1.5 and sata 2 is 3.0?

also if i buy sata 1 cable , and put it on sata 2 hd. does it make the hd sata 1 or sata 2?

There are no differences in the cables regarding speeds.

The only differences in cables are the change of spec for the connector ends to help locking them in.
