Yeah, the op should have asked his dad if he would prefer him "wrestling" with other guys.

BTW-To get a waterbed to stop sloshing you just need to get all the air out of the mattress.

Of course I know how much it weighs. I still have a kingsize and the twin that this event took place on. But believe me when I tell you that the headboard was hitting the wall. It had a loose fit on the frame of the bed and the water was completely free-flowing....hitting the bottom of the headboard and tilting it into the wall.

Has no one else experienced this sort of thing??

And oh yeah....I know now that the floor would've been the smart choice, but I was young, dumb and full of you-know-what at the time and didn't exactly weigh all the choices.

So this was, like, last week?

I had a queen size waterbed when I was in high school. I built the frame and pedestal myself and it didn't move an inch...ever. It was a free flowing bed (no baffles). I didn't have a headboard on it but if I had on attached to the frame it wouldn't have moved at all.

I had a twin size waterbed when I was a teenager. The headboard was not attached to the frame. It moved and hit the wall all the time. I had marks on my wall when I took the bed down.

I don't know if the story is true but it's definitely possible.
