A special THANK YOU to Ultra Quiet . . .

I Wanted to put this up on Monday, but our cable was down . . .

I would like to congradulate UQ for his dedication to our country, and his service of 20 years as equity on our freedoms.
He did the time in the service, dedicated to his job, his job performance, and his Country.

He retired last Friday, and woke up Monday morning in civilian life - almost for the first time since before Ronald Reagan was President.

He would have been fresh to the service, just a few years after when the Iranian Hostage thing went down, and most likely highly
motivated to do anything that our country would have authorized to help his fellow Americans be safely released from their captors.
Think about all the world events that have transpired since he first joined, and him reaching his chosen end to his career.
Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush-2, that's 4 presidencys, if it was really early Carter was just exiting, that would make 5.

Quite a bit of history to bear witness to from the perspective of a Navy man.

Thank you Dave, your time was well spent, and your service is deeply appreciated.

I salute you.
Kirk

Cheers and thank you for your service. Planning a life of leisure, or do you have a new career in the works?

Congrats! I keep asking my mom to retire, but she just keeps on going even after 24 years. She currently a Senior Msgt in the Air Force, want to make it to Chief, then she'll retire. My step-fatehr just made Senior Msgt also, although he's been in for 17 years, IIRC.

Congratulations and thanks for your years of service Ultra Quiet!😛 Now you can get a real job!😉😛

My younger brother has one more enlistment until he retires from the Navy!

Yup! You got so short you finished! 🙂 (Good grief, I remember that day well.)

Hope your new career isn't working for Walmart, or some software company in Bangladesh. 🙂

Semper Fi!

As I told you in the PM, this was unexpected, unnecessary but greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

To everyone else who came in to wish me well - - Thank you. I am about to embark on a second career at a yet to be determined location. What I do know is that it won't be here (Memphis). I would ask that you keep those who still wear the uniform, especially those in harms way, in your thoughts and prayers.

It has been both an honor and privledge to serve.
