From the Forum FAQ (DC folks don't like this one

)

Color me ass-ish (another coined phrase for Hoss. woo), but you could always start a clear, well-thought out recruitment post in one or more of the other forums and, at the same time, zap off a PM to a moderator. If they don't mind, it stays. If they feel all persnickitty about it, it goes. I'm not huge into the DC stuff myself though occasionally I'll set up a client to run stuff. I don't see any problem with an occasional thread asking that folks contribute their unused computer time.
One question the post would need to answer (for me, at least), would be "Why should I care?". I'm all for it, but the more a thread can actually
convince me and not just beg, the better
As for posts, I say just post the damn thing

(maybe start one in OT, for example) and don't bump the hell out of it, at least unless there's at least a measure of new info/comments. Request a stickification and if it flies, it'll happen. Enough with the pussyfootin' around. You want members, so go get 'em. Worst case scenario: the thread gets locked/deleted.
