Thanks for the great feedback guys, glad you like the paintings and other stuff!

For those that asked:
- It's acrylics on canvas for the paint, with poster markers for certain outlines and details

agreed.

how did you get those vibrant colors to look like a glossy finish? is that ink or paint?

Most of the illustrations are colored in photoshop ;)

WOW! I really like your paintings!! Gives me some inspiration to pick up a paint brush again! I love the colors and the multiple panels! Very impressive!! How much are you getting for those triptychs/diptychs?

EDIT - And judging by your portfolio, you've been an "artist" long before you sold a few paintings. ;)

I've been doing them for 2 years now and the pay is very rewarding.

VERY cool! Airbrush?

I use an airbrush on latex masks, but on my hocks I use acrylic washes w/ a natural sponge and a brush here and there... oh, and charcoal pencils, etc. I usually aim for accuracy from each of the Friday the 13th films, but sometimes customers request one of a kind original versions. It's fun and keeps me busy.

That is really cool, having a look through your work now, very impressive. I always wanted to get into prop reproduction, make some iron man masks or star wars blasters, but I never knew where to start. I'll PM you at some point about it!

Sounds good. By the way, all of the hockey masks I work on come from origins of the original movie molds. I ran into luck a couple years back! I'm not really a movie prop guy, but I'd love to get into it as well. It's my passion really.

Pretty much! :D

I failed art and woodwork back in junior high. According to the director of pedagogics, in his 30 years of experience, I was the first to do that :)

Sabot/Robert - you have some good designs. I especially liked the airport advertising design - must be cool to have all of your stuff all over a major airport terminal like that. Solid design, man!

Yeah it was very cool, I think the international one is still there, crazy project, the entire thing needed to be done in under 3 weeks or so. The baileys one was really fun

Great job on getting put up somewhere. And even better on selling a few. Its nice to know someone appreciates your work enough to put money on it.

very cool work man! i've bought similar items for 300-500 from ebay, i've been trying to paint some abstract stuff lately, how did you make those? did you splatter the white paint and then outline the splatter?

Essentially yeah, figure out the color scheme, layout of the boards, then the white effect. Glad you like them!

You're not officially an artist until you pay taxes on the work you just sold. ;)

Based on your previous work tho you were obviously already an artist. Great sign too.
