One of my 'to do' items was to get some of my paintings in a local cafe or greasy spoon type place. Well I found a guy over Craigslist a few weeks ago, in exchange for doing his store's signage he let me put my paintings up last week. I just found out 2 of them already sold, and the others have been asked about! I priced them very reasonably, not like most 'art' you see out there for thousands of dollars.

If you want to see them, these are some of the older ones > Link

Here's the newest one that just sold > Link
Again, different angle > Link

And here's the signage for the guy's store I did in exchange > Link

Pretty happy about this since they don't take long to make, couple hundred bucks in my pocket

Congratulations. I know nothing about art and I can't draw a stick-man without help, but I like your work.

I'm not a big art buff at all, everyone in my family is an artist of some kind or another, painters, potters etc. I like to draw but the paintings were purely an experiment.

Awesome! Congrats.

I'm hoping to get some my photos put on display somewhere. I may start buying booths at festivals and so on.

That would be great, always nice to have your stuff up somewhere for people to see. What I found really cool was sitting in the restaurant watching people look at the paintings. Check out craigslist also!

All those illustrations, are they hand drawn? Christ... you have a crazy steady hand! Even if aided, shit quite impressive in the detail.
The monograms are hand drawn, correct?
Are you interested in tattoo work at all? Have tattoos?
Can you draw me a tattoo? :p That shit is impressive and looks like the path to drawing some very impressive tattoos.

Nice job man! I like the acrylics. I used to have some stuff up in a coffee shop and sold a few until it closed. Good luck with it though it looks pretty good.

Everything's hand drawn, some of them are cleaned up in illustrator, but not many since that takes forever.

I've always wanted to do a tattoo!

They're between $100 and $150 - again, a bit of an experiment.

Those are some sweet prices.

I figured I'd aim low and simply see if they sell to begin with, they don't take very long to do to be honest, I'd rather they just go to a good home which might sound crazy. Some of them I've had for a few years.

Can't say that I'm really into modern art, but I did like those other sketches you have in your portfolio (the mechs and the combat suits -- the art style wouldn't look out of place in something like StarCraft, Battlefield 2142, Mechwarrior, etc).

I do not and probably will never understand art. And the more modern it gets the more  i get.

An artist makes art. A writer writes. That's all there is to it. Believe in that.

Yea I'm digging the Bistro sign as well, what style would you call that? Monochrome Floral?

how did you get those vibrant colors to look like a glossy finish? is that ink or paint?
