A site that can test a link or website for security risks

I was wondering if there was a site that you could enter a link or website address and it would check that site for malware, security threats, etc.

Those sites are used to scan my PC. What I was looking for was a site that would scan a web address that I entered in. Maybe it's just not possible or efficient. The reason I was asking is that occasionally on forums a new user posts a link and I wanted to determine if that link was safe.

Not necessarily but I don't want to take the even with all of the precautions I take. It's not a big deal, I just wanted to help noobs avoid a site that was bad when the link is posted in a forum.
