A simple question about windows nt

Here is the low down. It is my job to create a backup plan for the business that I work for. We have an Onstream SC30 GB tape drive with the Echo 3.1 software.

My problem.

I need to be able to backup network machines but in order to do that you have to map all the machines drives.

I have more machines than drive letters.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well that's a good question... Can you get different software? Or put another tape drive on another server? I think ARCserve or Seagate has a fix for this.. Check MS's knowledgebase on this, under WIN NT backup, they use the same mapping backup.

miken,

The idea of having to buy new software has already came up as a likely solution. The idea of a new tape drive is pretty much out of the question. The only restriction is that if I tell my boss that we need more software then it had better work. I am going to go check out the sites you recomended. Thanks for the input.
