How about another choice...

I don't listen to either of then, so I haven't a clue...

BTW: Isn't the Cure made up of a lot of members (or some members) of Bad Co. ? or am I thinking of some other band? (the clash??? I"m sleepy and my brain hurts..I'm going to bed now..)

I've never heard the Cure, but Matchbox 20 is one of the 10 worst bands ever.

That I've never heard The Cure, or that Matchbox 20 is one of the ten worst bands?

I mean, I wouldn't go around busting up their CDs or anything, and I wouldn't even comment on it normally, I just can't stand the way they sound. It sounds like music in a can to me, except for the song that the singer did with Carlos Santana, but I'm inclined to think that I only like it because of Carlos.

Give me Dream Theater, Blind Guardian, Steve Vai, or Ozzy Osbourne anyday.

No offence GF. Don't hate me :)

You must be insane if you are comparing a seminal 80's band with some junk-ass media creation.

The Cure was incredible. Matchbox 20 is just another four guys with guitars.

Besides, Anandtech Forums doesn't exactly represent the "general populous". You would be better doing a "man on the street" poll if you wanted accurate numbers.

The Cure bridged the gap between goth music and pop music back in the middle eighties. While everyone else we doing "Electric Youth" and "Material Girl" and "Hot for Teacher" and other ridiculously happy songs, The Cure was brooding along with their blend of accessible goth.
