A Short DC Survey

Hi All,
I am a longtime Anandtech lurker and have been participating in DC since 1999 -- yeah the old SETI days! My wife and I have written an academic paper on DC which has been accepted in a forthcoming edition of the Journal for Computer Mediated Communication published by the Annenberg School at USC. The reviewers liked the paper and the topic we dealt with very much. But they felt that we could do with more respondents as our initial survey was only put up on 3 forums and was a bit more cumbersome. We have to submit a revised version on Feb 1st so we are putting up a much shorter - only multiple choice questions - survey up at surveymonkey here

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=68873817715

It's damn simple, all you have to do is answer 10 multiple choice questions - it will take less than a minute.

Finally, for those who visit other forums, I am also posting this in the Ars DC forum, mersenneforum and in the Free-DC forum.

Thanks for your help folks we really really need more responses!!

Go ahead everybody, it's ver easy... I knew all the answers!!! 😉

i just did like they said to do on the SAT's and guessed to the inside 🙁

General gripe: Questions 7 and 10 are organized in the same manner, except in reverse. If you have the order: Not important->Quite important->Very important you should not reverse it the next time. Not a deal breaker, just something that may throw people off. 🙂

I filled it all out though. 🙂

 Hehe, and I though he did that twist intentionally to make sure people really read the instructions for each question carefully!

IMHO you should have had an "important" between not and quite on #7. Some things that I wanted between the two had to get bumped up to "quite important." 😉

Anyway, done. 😀

I got stumpted on Question 1 😱

The rest of it was easy 😀

Ah............................................whats this survey for again ?😕
